Executive Chef Peter Pahk was recently awarded with the Napa Valley Mustard Festival's Peoples' Choice Award 2008. He was also the winner in 2006 & 2005 and the Critic's Choice Award 2006.

From The Kitchen

Peter Pahk, Executive Chef of Napa Valley's Silverado Resort, along with Snake River Farms, purveyors of hormone and antibiotic free beef and pork, hosted a gathering of premier chefs in the Napa Valley for a food and wine pairing second to none! The event was staged to celebrate and feature sustainable cuisine. Benesserra Winery, with winemaker Chris Deardon poured wines that were wonderfully compatible to the varied and elegant cuisine.

Sustainable shrimp purveyor, Michael LaVecchia, also featured farm raised "monster" head on prawns. Chefs prepared small plates that ranged from Beef Tongue Salad to Kurobuta "Black Pig" BLT open faced sandwiches. The chefs came from Napa Valley's most recognized and awarded restaurants, including Philippe Jeanty of Bistro Jeanty, Greg Cole of Celadon and Cole's Chop House, Ron Boyd of Domain Chandon, Peter Halikas of Dean and Delucca, Todd Humpheries of Martini House, Ryan Jackson of Brix as well as host Peter Pahk of the Silverado Resort. The event succeeded in bringing together fine cuisine, matched wines and an excited crowd of food lovers.

Napa Valley's favorite steakhouse for over 25 years, The Royal Oak has updated it's menu. Scenic views and a sophisticated décor are the backdrop to this classic restaurant that features prime steaks, fresh grilled fish, great martinis and an extensive wine list.

Familiar features include our long-tenured and experienced service staff under the direction of Bashar Elkhalil. Guests are invited to indulge in fine wines and stunning golf course views as chefs prepare grilled prime steaks and fresh seafood in the open-air kitchen.

Award winning Chef Peter Pahk has incorporated some compelling new menu items, while retaining Royal Oak signature favorites such as the tableside prepared Caesar Salad, market-fresh sustainable seafood and thick-cut Certified Angus Beef prime steaks. Our new organic dessert menu features classic favorites with some new and exciting additions. Utilizing local vendors, the finest examples of regional specialties can be found at the Royal Oak restaurant in Napa Valley where an old world steakhouse and a new world ambience come together.

Main Lounge

Good times at the end of the day or after dinner can be found in Silverado's Main Lounge, where the ambiance is friendly with generous cocktails, a great stone fireplace and spectacular views of the South Course. As the evening advances, guests may wish to move on over to the adjoining Patio Terrace. This lovely glass-enclosed portico features cocktails as well as sweeping views of the Silverado grounds.

The Grill at Silverado, is a one-of-a-kind Napa Valley restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar appetizers. The restaurant features Wine Country Cuisine with an Asian flair, emphasizing fresh and sustainable products.

Just minutes from downtown Napa, the Grill overlooks one of the most beautiful golf courses on earth and offers a respite from the daily routine for everyone who visits. According to Silverado’s Executive Chef Peter Pahk, “It has been our mission to create a wonderful restaurant in a beautiful setting which is welcoming, affordable, and convenient. Our average dinner entree is priced at $14 and we offer complimentary valet parking.”

Opening at 6:30 a.m. each morning for breakfast, the restaurant serves lunch from 11:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.; dinner begins at 5:30 p.m., with the last seating at 9:30 p.m. The bar opens at 8:30 a.m. and offers a bar menu from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Grill at Silverado offers business people, visitors, and resort guests a special place to gather in an exceptional, lush setting with a phenomenal view. The 3270 square foot restaurant in Napa Valley, designed by EDI Architecture to complement the historic Silverado Mansion, features 44 seats for alfresco dining on the deck, 128 seats in the dining room, 48 seats in the bar and 14 seats in the Luna Boardroom, designed for meetings and private parties.
