Sauna
Saunas have been used throughout history to help relax and improve overall health. Sauna has many therapeutic benefits, one of which is helping to dissolve fat deposits under the skin. Many toxins are stored in the fat; they can be eliminated through the penetrating heat of sauna.
Other benefits include deep relaxation, stress relief, increased blood circulation, the reduction of cellulite, increased energy, weight loss, pain relief, & an overall feeling of well-being.
An individual can easily burn 300 to 600 calories in a 20- to 30-minute session, just by sitting.
However, sauna is not recommended for certain health conditions. Please ask your spa attendant for a list of these conditions.
Wet sauna is included with our hydrotherapy baths. Our dry sauna is located adjacent to our spa lounge.
Use is complimentary for both hotel & spa guests of the Mount View Hotel Calistoga.
