Graeser Winery

In these rugged extremes of nature, we perceive beauty and find meaning. For centuries men and women have been drawn to this exquisite but practically impenetrable mountainside. The indigenous Indians drank from the year-round springs and hunted the wild game. The early Europeans came to seek out the pockets of soil where they might plant the vines fromwhich they hoped to capture in wine some of the tastes and smells, some of the wonder of this unique place.

Graeser Winery is located within the Diamond Mountain Viticultural District. Recognized as one of the great regions in the world to grow Bordeaux varietals, the wines from Diamond Mountain can be profoundly complex, generous and age-worthy. Hillside vineyards are prized in the Napa Valley for producing wines with great character and dimension.

Here at Graeser we make estate wine from hillside vineyards and we make it very gently, using small open top fermentors and the best French and American oak barrels. The resulting wine is lush and detailed, elegant rather than overblown, balanced and approachable in its youth yet capable of aging very nicely for a decade or more.
